VIETNAM - The Air Liquide Foundation has renewed its support to the association Childhood Partnerships Vietnam (EPVN), which is working to improve services at an orphanage in the northeast of Vietnam.
EPVN is working with an orphanage in Bac Giang state, caring for more than 40 children including some who are HIV positive or have serious disabilities.
In Vietnam, many children with HIV or disabilities face exclusion and a large number are placed in orphanages.
The program for the improvement of services at the orphanage launched by EPVN, includes the development of vocational training workshops in gardening or mechanics, the renovation of the dormitories, the kitchen and dining hall in order to accomodate the children in better conditions as well as the installation of a chicken coop and vegetable garden to deal with the malnutrition of certain boarders.
Supported by Hue Phung, employee of Air Liquide in Vietnam and project sponsor, the Foundation is helping to renovate the center’s infrastructure as well as the creation of the chicken coop.
