Using carbon dioxide to control the pH of water is a safe way to minimize environmental exposure and the risk of catastrophic accidental injuries. This low-cost treatment option substantially reduces the ongoing process, infrastructure, maintenance and compliance costs. In addition, our carbon dioxide pH control solution reduces the high cost required to deliver, store and use hazardous mineral acids – including the ongoing degradation costs of equipment exposed to the corrosive effects of acid.
Creating an inert atmosphere through control of oxygen levels prevents food products from oxidizing and spoiling. Air Liquide’s inerting, blanketing and sparging applications address this challenge by eliminating or minimizing contact with air and removing undesired oxygen already present in the product. It results in extended shelf life and preservation of important qualities like taste, color and texture. Our inerting solutions are tailored to fit customer needs for oxidation control and can be integrated with processing and packaging systems.
Our Stabigaz regulators are suitable for maintaining a very low pressure atmosphere in a container or tank. It is especially suited for containers or tanks which are subjected to volume variations due to product transfer and temperature/pressure changes from large instantaneous flow rates. The Stabigaz regulator is installed onto a tank and will monitor the tank pressure via pneumatic signal. When the tank's contents are taken out, the Stabigaz regulator will release nitrogen into the tank correspondingly, so as to restore its pressure.
