ALBS awarded French Malaysian Innovation Challenge Award

On the 4th of June, Air Liquide Business Services (ALBS) was awarded the inaugural French Malaysian Innovation Challenge award. This competition was held in Malaysia and was co-organized by French investment bank, Bpifrance and technology commercialisation platform, Platcom. Both organizations are strong advocates of innovation which seek to foster support for tech SMEs and start-ups through this joint competition.

Smart Innovative Operations (SIO) Centre was recognized as a promising step towards innovation and Air Liquide’s unwavering efforts to work closely with start-ups and SMEs were also commended. The award was also directed to visual display solutions specialist, Hika, which was a partner of Air Liquide, developing the smart ionized glass system for its SIO showcase. 

Air Liquide received this award during the launch of the French Tech community in Malaysia, an initiative by France's Government to push its brand of innovation and entrepreneurship abroad. Malaysia’s newly appointed Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr Syed Saddiq and Minister for Science, Technology and Climate Change, Ms Yeo Bee Yin graced the event which was held at the residence of French Ambassador, Mr. Frederic Laplanche.
