Air Liquide Singapore's successful conversion to ISO 14001:2015 certification

Air Liquide Singapore has successfully converted its existing Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001:2004 edition to ISO 14001:2015 edition in June 2017.

The ISO 14001 is an internationally agreed standard that sets the requirements for an environmental management system to help organisations gain a competitive advantage and the trust of stakeholders. It requires that an organization considers all environmental issues relevant to its operations with the aim of improving their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste.

The successful conversion to the  2015 edition demonstrates a strong commitment we possess towards environmental protection and ensures a continual improvement process is built into our operations. The preparation towards certification audits took 6 months, with strong dedication from the sites' Operations team and support from HSES Department.

Lim Choon Meng, HSE & Industrial Management System Manager, AL SMR, said “We are delighted with this achievement. Beyond the successful conversion to the new standard, it was an opportunity to review and ensure that relevant processes within Air Liquide Singapore are kept up-to-date and running in accordance with internationally recognised norms”

The ISO 14001:2015 certification, provided by TÜV SÜD PSB, is awarded to our  Ang Mo Kio and GLOBAL FOUNDRIES Gas Centres. SSMC Gas Centre will be the next site for certification come December 2017.
